As your Infamy increases in The Blood of Dawnwalker, so do the prices of commodities across Vale Sangora. If you hope to be able to afford anything from the merchants and traders, you will need a massive influx of gold or Denarii and fast.
This guide for The Blood of Dawnwalker is all about farming money as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Pertinent Economy Skills
While not impacting your money farming directly, a certain skill has a tangential influence on your income as a whole. The Bewitch Influence skill under Witchcraft both reduces purchase prices by 15% at level 1 and raises sale prices by 15% at level 2, as well as unlocking secret items for you to acquire from traders at its final level 3. As a passive ability it remains functional day or night, despite being from the daytime cycle Witchcraft tree.
This ought to keep your outgoings low, while boosting your income from selling all of the loot you will be amassing.
Early Game Money Farm
The earliest Denarii grinding location is almost immediately after the end of the prologue, once the open world becomes accessible.
While leaving Laslea Glen for greater Vale Sangora to the south, head northwards instead to the cave on the eastern wall of the Northern Foothills. This is the general location of the ‘Into The Den’ side quest, without which you have no leverage to interact with a particular merchant in a southern city later. The Blackwater Hollow and Darkwood Den Shrines are in this wider area, and form a triangle with the cave occupying the north-east position.
You will need to defeat the Ravenous Bear first, a relatively difficult miniboss at this stage in the game. Find the corpse bearing the ‘Tattered Letter’ quest item in the rear of the cave to begin the quick quest itself.
This will eventually lead you to another quest item, specifically ‘Letter with a Tip’, which clues you in as to exactly where you can sell any silver you come across.
And that would be in the hub city of Svartrau, specifically in the Neustadt district on its northern Altermarkt boundary line. Entering the city via the western gate and its nearby Shrine should be the shortest path to getting there on a regular basis.
The merchant is literally titled Silver Trader, but he will not entertain any attempts by you to sell silver items to him, without the prior completion of that ‘Into The Den’ quest. Once you do though, the dialogue tree will change to reflect the hint you unlocked, so simply follow its logical path.
This is a permanent unlock for a place to dispose of your highly contraband silver without triggering or needing increases in Infamy, since a high enough Infamy level also eventually unlocks trading silver with this merchant.
All items with the silver chalice icon superimposed on them in the inventory are now sellable, massively increasing your income potential in the early game.
That is everything there is to know about grinding for gold as fast and effortlessly as possible in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
