Developer Striking Distance Studios has revealed on Twitter that the second major DLC release part of The Callisto Protocol‘s season pass—the Contagion Bundle—will be out on March 14. The DLC release will feature the bundle and the Watchtower Skin Collection, as well as new death animations.

The Contagion Bundle, as described when the season pass was originally announced, is a new difficulty mode for The Callisto Protocol. It will feature reduced ammo and health drops, a customized difficulty, and permadeath—meaning that a single death would need you to restart your entire playthrough.

Since this DLC release is largely a new difficulty mode for the base game’s campaign, those looking for fresh content for The Callisto Protocol will have to wait for the next two DLC releases, which are set to bring in a combat arena in the Riot Bundle, and a new Story DLC down the line.

The Callisto Protocol has seen quite a few additions since its release through the release of updates, including New Game Plus, as well as a Hardcore Mode.
