The Division Update 1.8 Adding Toggle For Rogue System

Players will no longer accidentally go Rogue in the Dark Zone.

In its latest State of the Game, Ubisoft Massive shared even more information on how the Rogue System will be changing in The Division’s Update 1.8.

Essentially, Rogue 2.0 will turn off Friendly Fire in the Dark Zone, which means you won’t accidentally hurt an Agent and go Rogue in the process. Furthermore, there will also be a toggle for going Rogue so if you indeed want that to happen, then have at it.

The Rogue System is has encouraged a lot of conflict in the player base till date, basically stemming from the fact that most players would like to just farm the Dark Zone for PvE rewards. How this system will encourage PvE players to give it another shot without consequences remains to be seen. Massive also revealed that there would be no new Dark Zone brackets with the update.

Though Update 1.8 currently doesn’t have a release date, it will have a Public Test Server in the near future. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
