Unrewarding Exploration
Elder Scrolls is notorious for being unrewarding in exploration. One could travel the lands for hours on end and find little more than a spell book. Or in my case, a treasure chest under a locked grate. Then hours of searching for the switch. Gate opens and inside the chest? An elixir. No! Exploring needs to really be rewarded for hard work. If we are going to walk an hour through a mud drenched swamp, fight nasty monsters and creatures, and come out four levels higher, we should be receiving something rather cool for our work. Games are designed to be fun (mostly). Shouldn’t getting rewarded for our long hours pay off in the end?
