Fallout 4 is now out, and fans who have been following Bethesda over the last decade or so know what comes next- now that they are done with Fallout, it means they are going to work on an Elder Scrolls next. And we’ve talked about the potential Elder Scrolls 6 a whole lot of times before- but that has all been speculation. Now, on the other hand, it looks like Bethesda may actually be beginning to consider development of the next title in their flagship franchise.

According to a job listing posted on their website, the developer is now looking for a new character artist to work on Bethesda’s ‘next generation’ project. On their own, this is fairly meaningless- it could mean anything, after all, especially since Bethesda have made it very clear that they are working on multiple new projects at once at this point. However, they explicitly namedrop The Elder Scrolls and Fallout in this job listing- and since Fallout just came out, it is clear that that is not what they are working on right now.

So, a new character artist, for a new Bethesda game, that may be Elder Scrolls? Sounds good to me. And hey, maybe the characters in this new game won’t look like uncanny valley monstrosities for a change!
