The Elder Scrolls 6: How Should Bethesda Approach Daedric Quests?

More of the same?

The Daedric quests were probably among the best that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim had to offer. More than any other quests, the Daedric quests allowed the game to be bizarre, throwing players in the middle of some ethereal, otherworldly locations and situations, featuring some great scenarios, and ultimately rewarding players with some sweet loot. So it makes sense that whenever The Elder Scrolls 6 does release, fans will be waiting with bated breath to see how it handles its own Daedric quests.

It wouldn’t be unfair to hope simply for just more of the same in Elder Scrolls 6, but as always, we do feel there’s ways Bethesda can improve upon those quests even further. Rather than having isolated, singular missions for each Daedric Prince, a structure that admittedly worked very well in Skyrim, we feel it would be better to have a large, expansive storyline that weaves into the main narrative, similar to the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood storylines.

Having the option to participate in, for instance, a rivalry or a feud between two opposing Daedric princes and having the option to make a choice about who you want to support and serve could potentially be very interesting, and having the chance to see it play out in a proper narrative thread that expands beyond more than just one quest would invest us further in the story side of the quest.

What do you feel about this? Do you think the structure of the Daedric quests in Elder Scrolls 6 should be kept as it was in Skyrim, or are we in need of a change? Let us know in the comment section below.
