It must be tough being Bethesda’s Pete Hines. Not just because he’s VP of PR and marketing at the company but because every year, when a particular game isn’t shown, he has to tell people why. Before 2015, that was Fallout 4. From 2016 onwards, it’s been The Elder Scrolls 6.

Hines spoke to Geoff Keighley after the Bethesda E3 conference and when asked about The Elder Scrolls 6, he revealed that are two big projects releasing before that. Once they’re out, development would commence on the next Elder Scrolls.

“I tried to manage expectations for folks…but [Bethesda has] major things that they’re working on in addition to a lot of other stuff. They’re hard at work, they have a lot going on.”

Bethesda will get to The Elder Scrolls 6 when those two projects, described as “big multiplatform releases” are out. Hines said once again, “TES 6 is not in development.”
