The Game Awards 2022

Gamescom Opening Night Live has wrapped, and Gamescom 2023 itself is in full swing. However, host Geoff Keighley has also confirmed that The Game Awards would return on December 7th, live from the Peacock Theater. There are no further details, but it will be the 10th anniversary of the show, so perhaps we can expect some surprises.

The awards ceremony is generally a big deal, with celebrity appearances, voice actors and an outstanding orchestra performing songs from the Game of the Year nominees. Of course, you can also expect World Premieres and announcements of new titles.

As for Gamescom 2023, it runs from August 23rd to 27th, with Xbox, Bandai Namco, Bethesda Softworks, Nintendo and more attending. Expect more announcements for upcoming titles and some new trailers. The Future Game Show Fall Showcase is also happening today at 11 AM PST and will feature over 50 titles, with publishers like Thunderful Games, Nacon, Raw Fury, and Frontier Developments.
