Kitty Pryde also known as Shadowcat has been called the Poster Child for the X-men, she is a mutant gifted with the ability to become intangible and have her body pass through solid material. Over the years Kitty Pryde has perfected her abilities and can take on even some of more superior foes in the Marvel universe. Fun fact Joss Whedon the director of the Avengers cites Kitty Pryde as his greatest influence in the creation of his popular heroine, vampire slayer Buffy.
