This is perhaps the very definition of a tease right here. During a Twitter conversation with SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida about the recent Left Behind DLC, The Last of Us creative director and writer Neil Druckmann said, “Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. Now about that next project… ;)”

Journalist Geoff Keighley, for what it’s worth, could barely contain his excitement.

The one thing we know Naughty Dog isn’t working on is bringing The Last of Us to the PlayStation 4, due to the amount of resources it would require. There is still discussion about continuing the franchise, perhaps with a sequel, but these plans remain up in the air as of now.

Besides, Naughty Dog is confirmed to be working on the next Uncharted for the PlayStation 4. Maybe that will sate our curiosity until other unannounced projects make their way through? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below.
