The next mainline instalment in Falcom’s long-running and beloved JRPG franchise, The Legend of Heroes, is set to launch in the West not long from now, and ahead of its release, players will have the chance to get a taste of its offerings courtesy of a demo as well- though not on all platforms, unfortunately.
NIS America and developer Falcom have announced that a demo of The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak will launch for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 on June 4, almost exactly a month ahead of the game’s release. Exactly how extensive the demo will be remains to be seen, but it’s confirmed that players will be able to carry over progress from the demo into the full game, so there’s that.
Meanwhile, NIS America has also showcased the full opening movie from the game, setting up its story and offering a glimpse at its vast cast of characters. Check it out below.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak launches for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 5.
