With The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak receiving an official release date in the West, Falcom and NIS America have begun releasing trailers focusing on the main cast. The first is Van Arkride, the protagonist and a Spriggan operating in Edith, located in the Calvard Republic. Check it out below.

Voiced by Damien Haas (Triangle Strategy, Starfield), Van’s profession involves taking on unusual cases. Part investigator, part bounty hunter, he uses a baton called Stun-Calibur to fight. Some of his abilities can be seen below, including transforming into the mysterious Grendel for melee attacks and a Kamen Rider-esque jumping kick.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak launches on July 5th for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5 and PC. It features a new engine, the option to switch between turn-based and real-time combat for Field Battles, an alignment system that influences story events and party members, and more. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
