Nintendo has announced a new title in The Legend of Zelda series, but it doesn’t star Link. Instead, as rumors indicated, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will feature Princess Zelda as the protagonist. Check out the announcement trailer below.
After Link suddenly goes missing, it’s up to Zelda to save the Hyrule Kingdom. She won’t be utilizing a sword, instead wielding the Tri-Rod. This magical weapon can create echoes of different objects and deploy them anytime. You can deploy wooden boxes, water blocks, and more to explore the world and solve puzzles.
As for combat, Zelda can even summon echoes of monsters who fight for her, each with unique abilities. Such is the extent of echoes that series producer Eiji Aonuma says he hasn’t even counted all of them. However, the result is a unique experience for every player.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches on September 26th for Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
