With a new Nintendo Direct coming today, Nintendo may finally unveil more details and gameplay for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, it seems to have prematurely revealed the price for the sequel on the Nintendo eShop. It was listed for $69.99 in the United States before being removed, as noticed by Wario64 on Twitter.
The eShop in Canada listed the price as CAD 89.99 and also had it removed, noted Twitter user Lbabinz. It translates to $70, so there’s a strong chance it’s legit. Nintendo hasn’t confirmed the pricing, but if true, Tears of the Kingdom would be its first title that embraced the $70 price tag, as Sony and recently Microsoft have done for their current-gen first-party titles.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on May 12th for Nintendo Switch. It’s rumored to be the last major title for the platform. The Nintendo Direct starts at 2 PM PST, so stay tuned for more details.
