Daedalic Entertainment’s The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has received a new sneak peek trailer, which sees the titular character venturing through different environments. Along with sneaking through, Gollum will have to climb and run from all kinds of threats. Check it out below.

The story follows Gollum’s journey prior to The Lord of the Rings saga as players, starting as a slave in the Dark Tower, traipsing through Mordor and exploring the Mirkwood. Lacking much by way of combat prowess, his only means of survival is his agility and wits combined with stealth. Of course, he’ll also need to make decisions based on his dual personalities.

Whether players embrace Smeagol’s more empathetic side or give in to Gollum’s dark urges is up to them. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is slated to release in 2022 following a recent delay. It’s in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
