Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel won’t be coming from Gearbox Software – well, not all of it – but it will be handled by the talented crew at 2K Australia. A series of “making of” videos has been released which details the different stages of development, with the latest looking at the process behind selecting the newest cast. Check it out above.

Set between the first two games in the series, The Pre-Sequel has you controlling Athena, a warrior with a shield that ricochets; Nisha, the future sheriff of Lynchwood; Wilhelm in his pre-robotic form; and Claptrap, who you’ll remember as the annoying robot that you never got to murder in the main games. Each comes with their own individual skill tree and there will be tons of loot this time around including two new elemental type weapons, a ground pound attack and much more.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is out on October 14th in North America and October 17th in Europe. Stay tuned for more details before its release.
