Ready At Dawn Studios recently held a course at this year’s Siggraph for ‘Physically Based Shading in Theory and Practice’. The studio also held an intriguing presentation on ‘Crafting a Next-Gen Material Pipeline for The Order: 1886’, some of the slides which can be viewed below.

There’s a ton of technical details that Ready At Dawn have also provided that can be viewed at the source, along with a video showing off the textile acquisition process for the game.

One of the information slides (seen above) also provided some new details on the game. Apparently, there about 80 members working on the game, which is exclusive to the PS4, and how it has been developed using a new in-house engine. The game will be set in an alternate-history 19th century London, full of all manner of monsters and steampunk technology.
