During their E3 press conference, Sony announced The Order 1886, a brand new IP for the PlayStation 4. It is being developed by Ready At Dawn studio, the people behind Daxter (PSP) and Okami (Wii).

We have got a few new details about the game right from our writer who is at E3. It’s nothing ground breaking but it gives us a good idea where the game is headed.

  • The trailer took place in Neo-Victorian London.
  • The developers are trying to keep their version of Neo-Victorian London believable according to history.
  • The game has been under development for more than two years but the IP has been around for longer. They were working on the ideas for like 7 years ago.
  • There is a strong chemistry going on between the characters. They belong to The Order and their purpose is to protect mankind against the enemy. They are in a war that has been going on for a century and their purpose is to keep mankind safe from the monsters.
  • Weapon customization may be a part of the game but they are not talking about it yet.

The Order: 1886 does not have a release date yet but it will be coming out exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
