The Recent Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 Listing Is Most Likely A Placeholder

This is the only online retailer we've seen so far with this listing.

While there have been a number of rumors about Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 being the next title in the long running series, there haven’t been any solid pieces of proof to surface just yet. While there was even an image that supposedly surfaced showing action in the game, it proved out to be nothing but fake.

Along the same lines as those images is the recent discovery of a listing for the game at an online retailer’s website. This listing has been making the rounds of Youtube recently and some players are taking this as a confirmation that next game will be a sequel to Ghosts. The problem with this listing is that it appears to be the only one that has actually surfaced. While it’s possible that other stores know this game is coming and have just not listed it yet, it’s more likely that the page on instant-gaming.com is more of a placeholder than anything else. Nothing in the listing really divulges any information.

We do know that there is supposed to be another Call of Duty game coming this year, as is the case with most of the games in this series. The listing does not have an actual release date but just says the title is going to be coming in 2016. Further proof that this is more a place holder than an actual leak is that there isn’t even any image accompanying the spot on the website. On the other hand, where there’s smoke, there’s fire and there’s been enough talk about Call of Duty: Ghosts 2 that it might be coming. We’ll likely know more before E3 begins.

You can check out the listing in the video below. Thanks, TheLongSensation.
