The Walking Dead – The Final Season Sales Suspended For Now

Except for on the Nintendo eShop, it seems like the final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead can no longer be purchased.

The Walking Dead The Final Season

With Telltale Games closing down unexpectedly last week, and the future of The Walking Dead – The Final Season being up in the air for now, it looks like the company has decided to do the right thing and not let people spend money on getting a season pass for the game anymore. On Steam, GOG, Xbox Live, and PSN, The Walking Dead — The Final Season appears to have been taken down entirely, with a note on GOG noting that the game has been taken down temporarily upon request by Telltale.

Interestingly enough, the game is still available on the Nintendo eShop for now, though I assume that it will eventually see the same takedown as well, given that customers are otherwise spending money on something they will presumably not get.

Whether or not the season pass ever goes back on sale is anyone’s guess— for now, the studio faces an uncertain future, and fans of Telltale’s take on the zombie apocalypse may have to resign themselves to their tale never quite being told in its entirety.
