The Walking Dead The Final Season

It was confirmed just a few days ago that The Walking Dead’s developer Telltale Games was closing down. It has certainly been a sad time as many developers have lost their jobs, made even sadder when it was reported that the The Walking Dead’s final season wouldn’t be completed, something that talent attached with the series seemed to confirm as well. However, it looks like there is still a possibility that the final two episodes may eventually see the light of day.

The second episode of the game’s final season will release tomorrow as planned, but if things go well, it might not be the end. In a new statement, Telltale Games revealed on Twitter that “multiple potential partners have stepped forward” to help with the release of the last two episodes of the season. Furthermore, they stated that they are currently working to see these two episodes released “in some form.” It goes without saying, but this is excellent news, because we at least know there’s a chance that we’ll get an ending to this series.

Of course, this is by no means a guarantee, but at least there’s still some hope left for all fans of the series out there. You can check out Telltale Games’ statement in the Tweet below. The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s second episode is set to release tomorrow for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
