The first expansion for the excellent The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Hearts of Stone, is almost here, and we have a new launch trailer to celebrate the occasion. The launch trailer sees Geralt of Rivia parleying with he immortal Olgierd von Everec, a bandit captain who has to deal with being an unlikeable person, forever.

Hearts of Stone adds 10 hours of gameplay to the game, bringing with it new quests, new characters, new locations, new monsters, new contracts, and a new romance option as well. It is the first of two planned Witcher 3 expansions.

“Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality,” the official Hearts of Stone description reads.

“The expansion lets you choose your own path through an experience that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost, and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced.”

Hearts of Stone launches October 13. Stay tuned for more coverage and information.
