The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt New Patch Will Focus On Improving PS4 Version Performance

But when is it coming?

Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone

The upcoming Witcher 3 patch will apparently be focusing much of its attention on making sure performance has improved when it comes to the PS4 version of the game. Over the weekend, Community Manager Marcin Momot started answering questions about what gamers can expect from this patch when it finally launches. Momot said the changelog for this particular patch is going to be pretty long. The patch will actually improve the performance across all platforms but will especially juice up the way the game has run on the Playstation 4.

Momot made comments on the game’s official forums but he hasn’t yet said exactly when players can expect to see the fixes go live. ““The patch is on the way. Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive. The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience.” Momot said in one post.

We do know that at least one fix the company will be including in this release is a problem that has seen the camera stuttering when characters are riding a horse. The calling for patience in Momot’s comments comes because The Witcher 3 fans had hoped the patch might be coming in September. As the month wore on, that probability got smaller and smaller. On the 24th, CD Projekt RED made an official announcement that the patch would indeed not be coming this month.
