Geralt Overlooking A Wide Vista

One of the prettiest games ever is about to become prettier- CD Projekt RED has released a brand new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which adds the long requested and awaited PS4 Pro enhancements to the game.

The new update, version 1.51, weighs in at around 140 MB, and includes visual enhancements and framerate boosts for PS4 Pro players, CD Projekt RED confirmed in a statement to GamingBolt. “Yes, the game has just received an upgrade patch, enabling it to take advantage of the additional power offered by the PS4 Pro. When playing the game on a PS4 Pro system, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and all its additional content feature support for 4K resolution and a slight boost to performance,” they said.

Note that while they mention 4K resolution support, it is unlikely to be referring to native 4K support- that would presumably be far beyond even the Xbox One X, let alone the PS4 Pro. Nonetheless, even if it is checkerboarded 4K support, it is likely to make the game look even more gorgeous than it already does.

Throw in the framerate boosts, and you have here what is, for now, the definitive console version of the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. An enhancement patch for Xbox One X will be released later this year as well.
