The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 Delayed to 2019

It sounds like the game was affected by all the turbulence that has hit Telltale Games of late.

Telltale Games has confirmed that the long awaited follow up to arguably its most beloved series ever- the Fables based Wolf Among Us Season 2- will now be coming out in 2019, rather than this year, as had been originally promised. It seems as though the game has fallen victim to the turbulence that Telltale Games has been hit with since the game was first announced almost a year ago- since then, the studio was hit with layoffs, and major restructuring, which slowed down its output considerably.

Speaking in their statement confirming the delay, Telltale confirmed that this was a reason, also noting that the studio was going to “explore new ways to tell stories”, which, to me, sounds like they may be looking at mixing up their formula, which has otherwise been the same since 2012’s The Walking Dead made them a household name.

As of right now, then, this game is due out next year- I suppose, for many fans who have already waited for the new season for so many years, one more won’t make that much of a difference. Still, it is bound to be a bummer.
