Jett: The Far Shore
Jett focuses on Mei, a space scout who ventures out into the universe to investigate a strange signal called the Hymnwave. She enters hibernation after leaving her world behind and awakens centuries later. You’ll meet several other characters who converse in semi-philosophical, semi-whimsical and wholly long-winded tones; research different flora and fauna; and flee from some enemies. Anyway, after all of that, the story abruptly ends. Everyone you meet, Mei’s mission, whether she actually succeeded in creating a future – all of that just fades into the big nothingness of space. Poetic? Probably, but also completely unsatisfying.
