While MAG didn’t exactly change the way online shooters are played, it became a personal favourite of many PS3 owners, as evidenced by the consistently strong online figures the game has posted. Now, it looks as if the number of players online at any given time may be about to shoot up, and substantially so.
This week sees the release of ‘major’ DLC for MAG, MAG Interdiction. Designed for 128 players, it will pit two factions against each other for control over three different command posts. The DLC also brings with it new trophies, and three new maps.
Moreover, however, as a treat to all MAG players, Double XP will be awarded to players starting Friday, June 25 at 7:01am GMT through Sunday, June 27 at 6:59am GMT.
