Thi4f 4 and Battlefield 3 set to get GDC reveal

Posted By | On 06th, Jan. 2011

GDC organisers have confirmed that it’ll play host to the first public presentation of Thief 4 this year.

Eidos Montreal’s Paul Weir will “argue for the benefits of using generative music in games… I will show our custom generative system (GRAMPS), demonstrate its key design features and suggest some best practice techniques.”

He added that he intends to show “how using a single person as the composer, sound designer and audio director on a AAA title can help create a unified sound field.”

They have also reaffirmed that Battlefield 3 will also be getting showtime with two separate discussions planned to take place involving the game.

The event will be held at San Francisco between Feb 28-March 4.
