THQ and Swapit.co.uk have joined forces for the launch of Fantastic Pets on Kinect. Fantastic Pets is the first Kinect title to utilise ‘Augmented Reality’ technology. This ground breaking feature allows users to step inside the game world and onto the TV screen where they can play with up to four species of pet (Dog, Cat, Pony or Lizard) in mini games, challenges and pet training activities. Players can also customise their dream pets with everything from skins, colours, patterns, wings, horns, tails and more! Fantastic Pets is scheduled to launch in UK on 15th April, 2011.

Swapit is the leading UK based swapping and trading community website where young people go to swap toys, video games and gadgets. Members earn virtual currency called ‘swapits’ for every item they trade which they then use to bid on whichever other items they desire.  Every copy of Fantastic Pets will include 50 free ‘swapits’ available in-pack via a unique code printed on an insert. Swapit are hosting an online micro site promoting the Fantastic Pets THQ partnership which will feature game information, trailers, competitions and more.
