Titanfall Is A Mix of Single And Multiplayer Components, Set Pieces Explained

Vince Zampella gives the low down.

In a recent video posted by Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, general manager of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella recently managed to explain some of the sequences governing the upcoming Titanfall’s gameplay, and just how the game is a mix of both single-player and multiplayer.

“It’s both. We took all those most engaging moments from single-player and put them into multiplayer. That’s where people spend the majority of their time. So we wanted to take that experience…what do you love? Instead of blowing through a level some one took six months to work on – blow through in eight minutes – we take those experiences and put them in the places you spend most of your time.”

When asked to clarify some of the sequences present in the multiplayer and how exactly they function in the larger scheme of things, Zampella stated that, “Sequences will sometimes be reusable but for the most part, it’s a story-driven… there are vignettes within the game. So there are smaller bite-sized stories that you can act out over two or three levels.”

Titanfall is currently slated to release in Q1 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
