Titanfall Xbox One Cover Revealed, Tomb Raider Port Incoming

Lara Croft may be hitting next gen consoles earlier than we thought.

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall, which you’ll remember for having debuted at E3 and scooping up awards like crazy, apparently has some official Xbox One cover art, as posted by GameStop. You can also check it out below (and the “winner of over 60 E3 awards” part is mentioned).

But what’s more interesting is GameStop’s listing for Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider, which released earlier this year in March for the Xbox 360 and PS3 to strong critical and commercial acclaim, on the Xbox One. Next generation ports for current gen console games are no new rumour – especially with games like Beyond: Two Souls and Gran Turismo 6 rumoured to be arriving on the PS4 in the future.

In Tomb Raider’s case, it makes sense though. Square Enix has already announced a sequel that will be arriving on next gen consoles. If it won’t be available on current gen and there’s not that big of a release gap between them, why not get Xbox One/PS4 consumers into the first game in preparation for the second? Seems to make sense.
