The Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association has revealed the overall attendance numbers for the recent Tokyo Game Show, which took place from September 19th to 22nd, with 270,197 people attending the convention. This means that roughly 52,345 attendees were present on the business days with the final day seeing 115,444 attendees present (as translated by Gematsu). The previous record was set by last year’s show which attracted 223,753 attendees.

The Association has also set a date and location for next year’s TGS, which will be held at Makuhari Messe from September 18th to 21st.

This year’s TGS was eventful enough with a slew of titles for the Japanese-centric user being revealed across all platforms. Footage for titles like Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid V’s Ground Zeroes section were revealed, among other things (the latter attracting its fair bit of criticism). What was the highlight of the show for you? Let us know in the comments below.
