Tomb Raider: Details on Gameplay, Regenerative Health and Possible Sequel

New details revealed.

Global brand director for Crystal Dynamics Karl Stewart took to Twitter in a one-hour lightning round session wherein fans could ask about the upcoming Tomb Raider, a reboot of the popular franchise featuring a young Lara Croft.

Some of the more interesting questions included play length. Stewart stated that the game would last “12 to 15 + [hours] depending on your play style”. He also stated that Lara will have “regenerative” health, eschewing a life bar and typical healing items in favour of this.

@ZenonSamuels poised this gem: “Will the combat system be better than TR:Underworld?” to which Stewart responded, “haha…….OHHHH YEEEESS it will!!”.

Finally, regarding whether a possible sequel for the game would be released should this iteration be successful, Stewart answered, “why of course”. A better way of putting it: If it sells out immediately within the first few hours, you’re damn right it’s going to have a sequel.

Tomb Raider will be releasing on March 5th 2013 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
