Tomb Raider Guide to Survival Episode 2 Looks at Exploration

Lara Croft is in the dead zone, man.

Crystal Dynamics has released a new episode of “Guide to Survival” for the upcoming Tomb Raider, a reboot that features a much younger Lara Croft coming into her own against various villains while struggling for survival.

Did we mention she hacks people to death? She can hack people to death. This is worth noting for the sheer grotesqueness and hotness of the act.

The newest Survival episode takes a closer look at exploration. Players will have their own base camp from which they can explore the island and even utilize fast travel mechanics to get around faster. It also looks at upgrading your equipment to revisit previously inaccessible areas for new artifacts and tools.

A neat little touch of Metroidvania, if we say so ourselves, and hopefully it’ll be used to extend the gameplay in the form of side-quests and additional missions. Check it out above.

Tomb Raider is currently slated to release on March 5th 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
