BORDERLANDS 2

Borderlands was an absolutely wonderful game. With some great shooting action, solid RPG mechanics and an experience so enjoyable that you’ll hardly find one like it, it was one of the best releases on 2009. And now, Borderlands 2 is looming large on the horizon. With a larger game world than that in the original, more of the same thrilling shooting action and reworked and improved mechanics, Borderlands 2 looks to improve Borderlands, and that sure excites us. If you’re not excited about the game, just have a look at the leaked video. It’ll surely rocket through your “hyped games list”.

HITMAN: ABSOLUTION

Agent 47 is finally back, and this time, he looks deadlier than ever. We’ve been waiting for a new Hitman game for ages- the thrilling stealth action and the enjoyable gameplay elements from previous Hitman games cannot be easily forgotten, and anybody who has played them would agree that you are left wanting more of the same. And Absolution seems to be doing just that, bringing back 47 and his awesome exploits with a bang. We don’t know much about Absolution yet, but we do expect it to be as awesome as Hitman games in the past.

THE DARKNESS 2

Digital Extremes are certainly an ambitious studio. While they didn’t create the first Darkness game, Darkness 2 looks really promising based on all the materials we have seen so far. Most of you must not have played the first game, because it was sort of a niche game, but a hidden gem in its own right. Darkness 2 features a lot of improvements, with our protagonist more powerful than ever before. So with the unique gameplay mechanics at your disposal, as well as the power of darkness at your command, the resulting carnage will be exhilarating. If you loved the first game, then this game will exceed your expectations and is certainly going to be one of the best 360 games releasing next year.

MASS EFFECT 3

Ah, there’s so much to be said about Mass Effect 3, but the world limit won’t let me go on about it for three pages. I should probably keep my bias aside, but after having played Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, and having had a good look at everything Mass Effect 3 so far, ME3 seems to be the most exciting game next year. So obviously, I personally am not looking forward to any game as much as I am to Mass Effect 3. The action looks great, the transition of choices from past games actually seem to have an impact, and the return of RPG elements and weapon customization seems to be doing a lot of good to the overall experience of the game. So with bated breath, we’ll wait till March next year. But it’s going to be a long wait. A long, long wait…
