Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

The remake trilogy that got the ball rolling for Activision. Naughty Dog’s original platforming trilogy was already really good but on top of remaking the visuals, Vicarious Visions essentially rebuilt all the levels, adding their own animations and art in the process while taking feedback from fans. That it nailed the feel of each game near-flawlessly while adding features like time trials, auto-saves, unified checkpoints and much more is a testament to the love and care that the trilogy received. If not for its success, we might not have seen a brand new Crash Bandicoot or other franchise like Spyro and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater receive remakes, such was its impact.
