Gears of War 4
Like many games on this list, Gears of War 4 is more of a soft reboot than a true sequel, though it is that as well. Series protagonist Marcus Fenix is now a father, and you play his son years after the events of the third game. If you’re a fan of the Xbox and don’t like Halo’s focus on multiplayer antics, or Gears’s previously “meh” story, then this is one for you.
