#16. GRAN TURISMO SPORT
Gran Turismo Sport came out at a time when Forza Motorsport was ruling the genre that Gran Turismo itself had dominated for so long. A disappointing launch certainly did Polyphony Digital’s racing sim no favours, with its focus on online being one of many issues people had with the game. But over time, the developers have turned this into a game worthy of the Gran Turismo moniker. With constant updates that have added several new cars and tracks, Gran Turismo Sport is packed full of content, while the core driving mechanics are undeniably some of the best we’ve ever seen in a racing sim. Sure enough, we’re excited for Gran Turismo 7, and we’re hoping it’ll be a more traditional entry in the series, but in retrospect, Gran Turismo Sport turned out to be more than sufficient as a stopgap.
