#28. DAYS GONE
Sony Bend are dear to many PlayStation fans, and though they had certainly delivered some impressive games (like Resistance: Retribution), the desire to see them getting back into the big leagues with something of their own had been strong for a while. With Days Gone, that is exactly what they did. This is a game that continues to get better the more you play it. Technical issues, jank, and a feeling of “been there, done that” are hard to shake in the early hours of Days Gone, but if you stick with it and push through those initial hurdles, you’re rewarded with a large, immersive game. With a world that’s bursting with reactive systems and a story that is much better than the initial impression it makes, Days Gone is surely a triumphant return to the spotlight for Bend Studio.
