#22. GRAVITY RUSH 2
Gravity Rush was an excellent debut for SIE Japan Studio’s newest IP on the PS Vita, and hinted at the exciting potential of its central hook of being able to manipulate gravity at will. Its sequel, made exclusively for the PS4, took that idea to its absolute limits, delivering what is probably one of the most under-appreciated and unfairly overlooked games in the console’s library. it exceeds expectations in every way possible. It is, of course, a joy to play, thanks to how it constantly makes use of its central mechanic in exceedingly clever and thrilling ways. Beyond that, there’s a surprisingly engaging story here, told through the lens of an immensely likeable protagonist. Add to that the fact that the game is an absolute pleasure to look at, and what you have with Gravity Rush 2 is an unmissable gem.
