Timers suck. There, we said it. But XCOM 2 is still a pretty great tactical strategy RPG, emphasizing cover-play and thinking several steps ahead of your opponent over gung-ho antics. One may find issue with the randomness of certain gameplay mechanics (like being in an alien’s face and missing your shots). Regardless, unit customization, squad-play, mission design and the overall meta-game are simply top-notch in XCOM 2.
