Final Fantasy has ties to 20th century Japanese novels
We know that the Japanese are very creative when it comes to novels, gaming and other arts. But Final Fantasy has many ties to the 20th Century Japanese literature. For example there is a unique skill called Coin Toss, sometimes called Zeninage. Additionally There is a class in Final Fantasy V which is known as Samurai class and has a character acquire skill unique skill called Coin Toss. This is a reference to a popular series of Japanese novels from the 1930s regarding a policeman in medieval Japan named Zenigata Heiji, who captured criminals by throwing money at them.
