When one thinks about the best graphics, a Nintendo title isn’t always the first thing to come to mind. The Legend of Zelda series has always tried to buck that notion though, offering a fully-fleshed out, open world with astonishing visuals packed with day/night cycles, lens-flares, real-time lighting and much more.

The Legend of Zelda on Wii U will take that much further by offering the largest open world in the series till date. One could argue that the game doesn’t push the boundaries of what graphics are capable of, especially on the Wii U. However, for the intents and purposes of exploring Hyrule as it was meant to be explored which engaging in an epic adventure – a fantasy one at that – it’s damn hard not to be impressed with what we’ve already seen.
