Xenoblade Chronicles X
Along with Zelda (and even Metroid), Monolith Soft’s franchises have the distinction of looking incredible even when they’re making use of less “powerful” hardware like the Wii and Wii U. Xenoblade Chronicles X is one such case offering a large world to explore, either on foot or by mechanical frame.
Even without that large scale, one will be impressed by the detail on foliage, the sky boxes created and the lighting. It’s crazy to think how such simple elements could create such a great looking game but there it is. Don’t even get us started on the impressively rendered wildlife or the gorgeous looking mechs. Suffice to say, there’s more than one reason to buy a Wii U at this point.
