Assassin’s Creed: Victory
It’s rather funny that the next Assassin’s Creed title, codenamed “Victory”, would be leaked a good year before its arrival. While you should take such leaks with a grain of salt, though the source that leaked it also rightfully revealed Unity before its official announcement, it’s come at a time when players couldn’t be more tired of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
This was due to Unity launching with a myriad of bugs, frame rate issues, glitches, micro-transactions (some which bordered on $99) and gameplay elements that could only be accessed with the companion app. It would be another thing if the base game itself were incredible but even with recent patches and updates, the core parkour mechanics and questing are far from the best in the series.
If Ubisoft indeed has Assassin’s Creed: Victory planned out this far in advance, maybe it will take the proper time to playtest it. As it stands, any new Assassin’s Creed title that can launch without issues will go a long way towards reigniting interest in the franchise.
