Kingdom Come: Deliverance
In today’s Kickstarter-saturated age, it takes a fair amount of effort to differentiate one’s game from the pack and not everyone can rely on a classic IP, renowned developer or established studio name to make it through. However, Warhorse Studios managed to raise more than $2 million for what will be its first AAA project – the open world medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Describing Kingdom Come is difficult. It’s equal parts sword-fighting and exploration but balanced with character maintenance. You’ll need to keep yourself well-fed and rested in order to stand a chance in battles. The 3 km by 3 km world map means a large amount of terrain to explore – not to mention those open field battles between hundreds of soldiers – and there will be several branching storylines to muck about with. On top of that, the game looks gorgeous.
You wouldn’t think Warhorse could deliver on its lofty promises but considering all the work it’s already put in, especially in the accuracy of armour and the soundtrack, Kingdom Come: Deliverance has turned us into believers.
