This little beauty from longtime, sci-fi game developer, Chris Roberts came up with the idea to build a hybridized MMO experience that gives gamers more options than anyone else in the industry. Mr. Roberts is dedicated to carrying on that vision into a new generation of exploration and multiplayer experience. Star Citizen and the developers over at Robert’s Space Industries have definitely got their hands full. Star Citizen is a very ambitious title, especially for a completely crowd funded title. Cloud Imperium Games has already started to put more than a bit of the crowdfunded fortune to good use. With new ships and variants being released fairly regularly, there’s something to look forward to.
What is described as a space trading and combat simulator in a persistent game world gives players the ability to explore and fight their way through space, with other players as well as NPC enemies. You can also explore by yourself or with friends in either your own ship or sharing one with partner’s. There is already a lot of support for the game, and a “Hangar Mode,” isavailable for early contributors to the game. This game is definitely worth looking into, and maybe even support it if you’ve got a couple extra bucks.
