Portal 2 was a Prequel
It’s really hard to imagine that Portal 2 was meant to be a prequel, but that was the plan and the developers were originally going to go with it. The developers stated that the prequel was going to showcase a new era of Aperture that the players hadn’t seen before. It was all going to take place in the 1980’s, about 20 years before the events of Portal 1. And apparently, it was going to showcase an entire robot uprising. Interesting indeed. It does sound like an interesting story, and I for one wouldn’t mind see the prequel in the future.
