As one of The Creative Assembly’s most acclaimed Total War titles, Rome: Total War is getting the remastered treatment. Total War: Rome Remastered is out later this month and along with 4K optimization, high-resolution maps, and graphical improvements, it sports tons of quality of life improvements. A new trailer quickly goes over several of them so check it out below.
An enhanced camera provides a better look at the action with map rotation and wider zoom for the campaign. Sixteen factions that were previously locked at now available and a new Faction Summary screen helps to view them at a glance. During battle, you can opt for half speed and even make out unit status more easily. A modern tutorial and local game guide are also in place to help new players.
A new Remastered ruleset is available but purists can enjoy the Classic ruleset as well. Total War: Rome Remastered is out on April 29th for PC and includes the base game game, and the Alexander and Barbarian Invasion DLC. You also get Rome: Total War Collection for free, though owners of the original game can avail of a 50 percent discount until May 31st.
