Celeste

Matt Makes Games Inc.’s newest game Celeste is finally available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS and PS4. It’s from the developer of TowerFall: Ascension, a wickedly entertaining competitive multiplayer title about shooting arrows at your friends. The key difference is that Celeste is a narrative-driven single-player platformer.

The story focuses on Madeline, a young girl who wants to scale Celeste Mountain and overcome her own personal demons along the way. Much like Super Meat Boy, Celeste is composed of numerous platforming challenges that rely on excellent timing. And for those who seek even greater challenges, there are B-Side Chapters to complete as well.

With over 700 screens to conquer and a memorable cast of characters, Celeste is already garnering “Universal Acclaim” among reviewers on Metacritic. Key among these reviews are Destructoid and IGN who awarded it a perfect 10.

Head on over to Steam right now to purchase the game and let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
